Content Description:
Part 2 of this live, virtual training will take a deeper dive into Continuing Bonds Theory and explore the critical role it plays in a loss parent’s grieving process. Participants will learn tangible strategies to support perinatal loss clients in developing and maintaining continuing bonds with their child(ren), while also facilitating overall integration and processing of the loss. Finally, this training will review cultural considerations for clinicians supporting bereaved parents.

Learning Objectives:
Define what continuing bonds are and explain their role in the grief process
Understand the importance of continuing bonds for loss parents in particular
Identify ways clients can establish continuing bonds with their child(ren) and discuss how clinicians can support this process
Identify cultural considerations in supporting clients through establishing continuing bonds
